Hidden Lake was born from a dream, the kind that grows quietly over the years and suddenly feels ready to be made real.

We’re Emma and Matt, once based in South East London, now happily settled with our three children on the south coast.

 

After years of working in property, we wanted to create something of our own: a home designed with heart, built to last, and filled with details that make life feel a little more magical.

​

When we found Compton Avenue, looking out over the lake and the golf course at Parkstone, we knew we’d discovered the place to build.

 

With the help of talented designers and craftspeople (including the brilliant team at wn interiors), we poured care into every aspect, from the vast glass panes that frame the water views to the hidden rooms and bespoke furniture.

What began as our family’s dream home quickly became something bigger. Friends and visitors would walk through the door, pause, and simply say “wow.” Then they would ask: could they use it for a photoshoot? Could they stay while we were away? Why not host a few events?

​

So, that’s what we decided to do. Hidden Lake is still our family home, a place where we live, laugh, and make memories, but it’s also now a space we love opening up to others. A place where celebrations, retreats, and getaways can happen, all framed by the views that first captured us.

 

For us, Hidden Lake isn’t just a house. It’s the feeling you get when you walk in, take a breath, and know you’re somewhere special. And we can’t wait for you to feel it too.
